I bought this mat in hopes that it would inspire me to do yoga during business travel by protecting me from yukky hotel carpets. It worked! The mat is very thin, so don't expect cushion for your knees, but as most hotel rooms are carpeted, I don't feel that this is a problem. My biggest concern was whether it would fold up small enough to fit in my bag. I like to pack very light. It is perfect. It folds up to about the size and shape of a couple of t-shirts or a pair of jeans. It was so wonderful to stretch away the 10 hour flight when I finally got to my hotel. I was a little concerned about slipping on the soft towel-like surface, but my hands and feet stay put. I highly recommend this mat!

I have not used this mat as a travel mat but I have used it in place of a yoga towl over my regular mat. It is way better than other yoga towel brands which are much more expensive and don't have a lot of traction. There is high quality rubber on the back to prevent it from slipping and it is great for high intensity power classes. I highly recommend this over a yogitoes towel.

This travel mat does everything it says it will. It keeps you off hotel floors, packs small and light, doesn't slip, and makes a great cover for a "public" mat or carpet. I was skeptical when I bought it and I don't like Gaiam in general, but this travel mat is a must have for any yogi who travels at all or who engages in group practice.

It's not highly padded, or at all, but it's a travel mat so it IS very nice and folds compact. Perfect for a carry on!

I have no complaints at all. The travel yoga mat is exactly as described. It folds into a pretty small size and can easily be packed. And you don't slide on it at all. Neither your hands or feet on the mat nor the mat on the surface. It is probably to thin to use straight on a hard floor but it is not meant for that purpose anyway. All in all a great product. And it arrived quickly after ordering.
